Mine Idles After Worker’s Death

The investigation is on after a worker died at a Boone County mine. 32-year old Rodney S. Osborne died in an incident that occurred about 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Rockwell Mining LLC Gateway Eagle Mine, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Commerce. Inspectors from the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training have started their investigation, and the mine has been idled.
