St. Albans Festival of Lights Now – Through December 26th (except for December 24th and 25th)
Its Time!!! The 2018 St. Albans Festival of Lights opens for car traffic at 6:00pm. Come out and spend the evening with at St. Albans City Park enjoying thousands of holiday lights and decorations. This FREE event is open to the public, but donations are always welcomed!!! Also don’t forget to stop and see Santa and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at the top of the hill near the pool. Pictures with Santa are $5.00. This event is open nightly from 6:00pm – 9:00pm now thru December 23rd except for December 24th and 25th, but will reopen for one last night on December 26th!!!
Kanawha Valley Railroad Association Christmas Model Train Open House – Every Thursday – Sunday December 6th- 23rd
The Kanawha Valley Railroad Association will be hosting a Christmas Model Train Open House at Coonskin Park every Thursday through Sunday until the 23rd of December. Walk Thru Bethlehem – Now – Saturday December 15th
Take step back in time with a Walk thru Bethlehem!!! This Family friendly event is located Hometown Independent Mission and is open nightly from 6:00pm – 9:00pm except on Saturday they will be open from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. Come enjoy live action demonstrations, shepherds watching over their flocks, and the town folk telling the true meaning of Christmas. Admission is FREE, but non – perishable food items and donations to help the Union Mission are very welcomed!!!
Pratt Fire Department Christmas Bazaar – Saturday December 15th
The Pratt Fire Department will be host a Christmas Bazaar from 10:00am – 4:00pm. The event will have great vendors just in time for finding a gift for even the hardest person to shop for. There will also be a hot dog sale throughout the event.
5th Annual 2018 Southern West Virginia Toy Ride for CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital – Saturday December 15th
Bring a smile to a child’s face that has to be in the hospital during Christmas with the 5th annual Southern West Virginia Toy Ride for CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital. Participants will meet starting at 10:00am at Daniel Boone Park, Kanawha Boulevard E., Charleston, with riders departing the park at 12:00pm making their way to the hospital. All motorcycle clubs, independent riders and the general public are welcome to come out and participate in this great event!!! Toy donation will be accepted through Friday December 14th, and for a complete list of drop off locations check-out their Facebook page.
Cookies with Santa – Saturday December 15th
Sissonville Middle School Wrestling Team will be hosting cookies with Santa from 10:00am – 1:00pm in the middle school gymnasium. The cost is $10.00 for one child and each additional child is $5.00 this will also include a picture with Santa. They will be showing “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” during the event. Plus for an additional $10.00 you can make an ornament from pottery place.
Christmas Bazaar – Saturday December 15th

St. Albans High School Christmas Bazaar & Lasagna Dinner – Saturday December 15th
The St. Albans High School Band will sponsor a Christmas Bazaar and lasagna dinner beginning at 5:00pm at the high school. Dinner tickets are $12.00 for Adults, a $9.00 for children under 12. There will be plenty of vendors with great gift ideas, and the band will perform at 5:00pm.
Kids’ Book Drive – Saturday December 15th
Literacy Volunteers of Kanawha Valley will continue its annual New Books for Needy Kids’ Book Drive at the Charleston Town Center from 10:00am – 6:00pm. Donation and books can also be dropped off or mailed to Literacy Volunteers of Kanawha County, 16 Leon Sullivan Way, Charleston 25301. through December 20th.
Campbells Creek Breakfast with Santa – Saturday December 15th
The Campbells Creek Lions Club will host a breakfast with Santa from 7:00am – 11:00am in the Activities building of Coal Fork Methodist Church. Admission is $6.00 for Adults and free for children 12 and under with the purchase of an adult admission. Photos with Santa will also be available during the event.
Holiday Vendor/ Gift-Wrapping Event – Saturday December 15th
A holiday vendor and gift wrapping event in support of Beta Sigma Phi, will be held at St. Anthony’s Church on Sixth St. in Charleston from 9:00am – 2:00pm. The event will include concessions, a photographer, and raffles.

S’mores with Santa – Saturday December 15th
Enjoy making S’mores with Santa following the Pinch Christmas with the Pinch Fire Department from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Make sure to bring your letters for Santa and they make sure he gets them!! Stay warm by the bonfire while enjoying a cup of cocoa & making your own S’mores. This event is free and everyone is welcome to come and enjoy!!!
WV Flora and Fauna – Tuesday December 18th
WV Flora and Fauna event presented by Kassandra Phillips, and sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley will be held from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Goodwill prosperity center, 209 Virginia Street. The Photography exhibit will be held just in time for Christmas with framed and unframed pictures for sale.
