Man in custody after police standoff

A man is in custody after a standoff with Ashland police. Forty-one-year-old Virgil Vanhoose is accused of holding two women hostage during at his apartment on Harrison Street Monday afternoon. After several hours he let the women go, unharmed, and surrendered to police.
