Third Teen Faces Charges for Middle School Threats

State Police say a third West Virginia teenager has been charged with making violent threats at a middle school. Lt. Michael Baylous says in a news release that a 13-year-old boy from Clay was charged in a juvenile petition Thursday with making terroristic threats, conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation to commit murder. Two other boys, ages 13 and 15, were charged Monday. Baylous said the charges stemmed from recent unspecified incidents at Clay Middle School. Clay County Schools Superintendent Kenneth Tanner ordered county schools closed for three days earlier this month. On the county schools’ website, Tanner said State Police were notified April 27, a day after middle school administrators were told that a student had allegedly made comments about shooting multiple people at school.
