Nitro Considers Tax Breaks for More Small Businesses

Nitro businesses may be getting a tax break. The Nitro CIty Council is looking for ways to boost economic development, and one way of doing it is to make tax breaks available to a greater number of businesses. Right now the law in Nitro says businesse with 50 employees can get tax relief, but under the new proposal the break would apply to businesses with at least five employees. The tax breaks would apply to the first five years. There’s a second reading coming up at the next meeting.
