New Lights Could Be Added to Highways

There are worries over traffic light outages along Interstate 64 and Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper is asking the State Division of Highways for answers. The electrical system is several decades old, and recently there were more than a hundred outages on all three interstates that run through Kanawha County and Corridor G. The DOH has plans to replace the system with upgraded LED lights which will add brighter, more efficient light to I-64 between Kanawha Turnpike and the Oakwood Road exit.
