KMart Employees laid off

Several dozen Kmart employees are being laid off, eight months after a flood shut down the Crossings Mall store. Ever since last summer’s massive flood that closed off access to the store, 69 workers had been able to find positions with other Kmarts in the area. Now the retailer has decided to lay off those displaced workers. Once the bridge that was wiped out is rebuilt, Kmart says it plans to reopen the Crossings Mall location.
