Kanawha County Man Gets 30-year Sentence for Murder
A Kanawha County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. 61-year old Keith Jones of Rand shot and killed Joe Williams after he said the victim made a comment that angered him. Jones was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday in Kanawha County Circuit Court on a second-degree murder charge. The murder happened inside Jones’ home on Elaine Drive in Rand in September 2016, and Eyewitness News reports Jones has maintained he did not intend to kill Williams.
