Justice and Public Schools

Governor Jim Justice is releasing his plan to overhaul the West Virginia public education system. Justice says his proposal will bring strong education reforms to revive West Virginia’s schools and improve their competitiveness nationally. His ideas range from teacher pay raises to reducing regulation and restoring local control. He also wants to eliminate bureaucracy and make the 180 calendar day policy more flexible for local communities.
