Jury Duty Scam Continues

There are still people receiving calls as part of a scam, where the person on the other end of the line identifies as a clerk of the court or Kanawha County Deputy Sheriffs. He or she tells you you’ve missed jury duty and need to pay fines by phone or online to avoid immediate arrest. Sgt. B-D Humphreys says no government official will call and demand payment by phone of any fines and you can report those calls to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office at 304-357-0169.
