Candidate struck

A Democratic political candidate for the West Virginia State Senate was taken to the hospital, after being involved in a confrontation yesterday. West Virginia State Troopers said Richard Ojeda from Logan County- has been taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Troopers say the fight happened during a political gathering in the Whitman area of Logan. Porter allegedly asked if Ojeda could put a political sticker on his truck. When Ojeda went to the man’s vehicle to put the sticker on, Porter grabbed something from the truck and hit Ojeda on the head. Jonathan Porter has been arrested in connection with the incident
