WVSU honors Katherine Johnson
West Virginia State University honored one of its own Saturday with a statue and scholarship fund. The university unveiled a life-size statue of NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson. She turned one-hundred yesterday. Johnson was depicted n the 2016 film “Hidden Figures” and is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
