WV Guard relieved of corrections mission

The West Virginia National Guard has completed it’s mission in the State’s corrections facilities. More than one-hundred guard members have provided relief for correctional staff after the Governor called them up because of staffing shortages. The corrections department has hired 800 new corrections officers since a pay raise went into efect in March.
