Trial Gets Underway Against Charleston Doctor

The trial for a Charleston doctor is underway. Dr. Steven Matulis is accused of sexually assaulting and abusing patients while they were under anesthesia, and the trial got underway Monday morning in Charleston with jury selection. His medical license has been on inactive status since 2016 when Charleston police began investigating complaints. Matulis also is facing more than a dozen civil lawsuits.
