Check your phone this afternoon. You will receive a text message from the President. It’s a test of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. The test is scheduled to begin at 2:18 p.m., and you will receive an alert with the header “Presidential Alert.” The system has been established to send out alerts in national emergencies.
