Northern West Virginia coal mine closes

Nearly 300 coal miners are out of work after a Northern West Virginia coal mine was closed. Federal regulators say they were notified at the end of November that the Federal Number two mine, owned by ERP Compliant Fuels was shutting down. A few workers will remain to prevent flooding and keep the mine ready to reopen.
