Brooke County elementary schools closing

The State Board of Education will close three elementary schools in Brooke county. The schools are being shut down due to a drop in enrollment. The doors will be closed at the end of the current school year. More than 40 teachers and staff are facing layoffs. It will save the school system nearly one-and-a-half million dollars.
