Manchin votes to confirm Kavanaugh

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin will vote to confirm U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Manchin said he has reservations about the vote, but made the decision after meeting with Kavanaugh in July, and attending hearings on the nomination. Manchin is the only Democrat to vote in favor of advancing Kavanaugh’s nomination. The final vote was 51-to-49. The official confirmation vote will be held today.
