Kentucky Department of Health recommends Hepatitis A vaccination

The Kentucky Department for Public Health is recommending that everyone in a six county area get vaccinated for hepatitis A. Two-hundred-fourteen cases of hepatitis have been reported in Jefferson County. Several restaurant employees in Boyd County have tested positive for the virus. The total number of cases is over three-hundred. The vaccine is available from local health care providers.
