City council approves $100,000,000 budget

Charleston City Council approved the city’s 100-million-dollar budget yesterday. The city is balancing the budget by putting the EDGE project on hold. Nearly 4-million-dollars was set aside for the project to bring young talent to the city and provide them with affordable housing. Part of the plan would have renovated the vacant Dupont Hotel.
