State Will Have a Record Budget Surplus

Governor Jim Justice said Monday the general revenue collections for 2018 are going to be the highest the state has seen. The total projected year-end surplus will be about 28.7 million dollars, which will be well ahead of 2015 and that was the previous highest. The governor said the last time the state finished a budget cycle without mid-year cuts was 2012.
