Special Metals workers sent home

Hundreds of workers at Special Metals in Huntington were told to go home in the middle of their shift Friday. About six-hundred members of United Steelworkers Local 40 were told to leave the facility. Workers held an emergency meeting Friday afternoon. The union is in the middle of negotiations, and their contract expired Friday at midnight.
