South Charleston Fire Dept. Gets Money for New Gear
The South Charleston Fire Department has received a federal grant of nearly $254,000. U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito announced the funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and said the funds will go toward operations and safety. The money can be used to purchase training and protective gear and equipment for wellness and fitness, as well as to make health and safety improvements to stations and facilities.
