Process Begins for Finding a New Commissioner

Kanawha County Commissioners say ten people have applied for the open commissioner’s seat. This is the spot that came open after commissioner Dave Hardy resigned to move on to a position with the Dept. of Tax and Revenue. Public interviews will start Thursday with each candidate, and the goal is to have a new commissioner in place by mid-February. That person will serve a term through the 2018 general election cycle.
