One Man is Killed in Elkview Accident

One person died in an accident Sunday night, and those involved have been identified. Sgt. B-D Humphreys says 54-year old Kevin Statts of South Charleston crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Cavalier being driven by 46-year old James Kidd of Elkview, and Kidd was killed in the crash. Statts was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center’s General Division for treatment. The accident happened on Frame Road in Elkview, and it is still under investigation.
