Two West Virginia Jet Skiers Are Rescued in Florida
Two people from West Virginia on Spring Break in Florida are thankful for the quick thinking of a deputy there. A Brevard County Sheriff’s deputy pulled the two jet skiers to safety to avoid a collision with an oncoming Carnival Cruise ship. The ship captain alerted authorities about the two women in the path of the ship, and the Gazette-Mail reports as the deputy approached in a marine patrol boat, one woman fell off the jet ski, which then flipped and both women were thrown into the water. The deputy was able to rescue them.
