Legislators pass bill to limit opioid prescriptions

The West Virginia House approved a bill that would limit the initial amount of opioids that can be prescribed to a patient. The bill would limit initial prescriptions to seven days or less, and require a doctor to reassess a patient before making additional prescritions. The Senate will have to approve House changes before it can be sent to the Governor.
