Leaks Waste Thousands of Gallons of Water Each Year
The Public Service Commission of West Virginia is participating in the 10th annual “Fix a Leak Week” by bringing educational info about water conservation to third and fourth grade students around the state. The PSC says the average household leaks almost 10,000 gallons of water per year. That is the amount of water it takes to wash 300 loads of laundry. To help save water, stay on top of average usage on your water bill and look into huge differences, monitor toilets and faucets, and fix loose showerheads.
