Former police officer charged with child abuse

A former Charleston police officer is charged with child abuse. Nick Null was arrested Thursday for an incident that happened last October. Null is accused of picking up his ten-year-old daughter by the throat and dropping her to the ground. Null hasn’t been employed by the police department since 2015.
