Flood relief contracts expire

West Virginia’s contracts for long-term flood relief have expired, and state officials are trying to figure out what to do next. The contracts with firms that were helping with reconstruction efforts expired over the weekend. A legislative auditor’s report released last week concluded that several contracts with construction firms were awarded unlawfully and should be terminated.
