Economy on Road to Recovery

West Virginia’s economy is on the road to recovery. The Mountain State Business Index increased last month, showing measurable gains in the past seven months. Economists at West Virginia University said this also represents the index’s best overall stretch of performance in nearly two years. While it’s not all positive news and there is evidence that even though some regions in West Virginia are still struggling, the state’s economy as a whole is in the early stages of a mild recovery.
