Drug deaths top 1,000 in 2017

Drug deaths were over one-thousand in West Virginia in 2017. Nearly 86-percnet of those who died of an overdose, were the result of opioids. Preliminary numbers don’t look much better for this year. Nearly five-hundred are blamed on opioid overdoses in the first half of 2018.
