Device Analyzed After Explosion

No motive yet after an explosive device was found in Kanawha County. A Kanawha County sheriff bomb technician collected evidence after the explosion that caused minor damage in eastern Kanawha County Sunday. It happened near the road in the 100 block of Chesapeake Street in Hansford. Deputies said an “improvised explosion device,” or IED was detonated, and that left gunpowder on street signs and tree branches, and the Pratt Fire Department had to put out a small fire. No suspects yet, but what’s left of the explosive device is being analzed in a lab.
