CURA Considers Consulting Firm for West Side Plan

The Charleston Urban Renewal Authority is putting together a plan to revitalize Charleston’s West Side, and they’ll choose a firm to help with that at its regular meeting next month. The agency is evaluating its 2008 West Side Community Renewal Plan and several consulting firms have submitted bids. The Gazette-Mail reports the board in October voted to re-evaluate the plan and possibly amend the boundaries of the urban renewal district on the West Side, and that could involve public meetings.
