Boone County Drug Sweep Nets Several Arrests

About 20 suspects were in custody and a few others are still being sought in a drug sweep in Boone County. The surprise drug sweep got underway around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, and arrests were made throughout the county. West Virginia State Police lead the investigation, teaming up with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the Madison Police Department and other local departments. WCHS TV reported the arrests involved primarily heroin and methamphetamine.
