Another Person Pleads Guilty in Fayette County Murder

A second man has pleaded guilty in connection with a Fayette County woman’s murder on Easter Sunday of last year. Janet Garrett was shot during an attempted robbery at her home along Berry Street in the Oak Hill. Derrick Crouse was convicted of first-degree murder and he’ll be sentenced on Sept. 10. Matthew Underwood has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of accessory after the fact in connection with the case.
