Amtrak ticket agents could return to Charleston

A Senate appropriations bill could mean the return of a staffed Amtrak ticket booth in Charleston. Senators Manchin and Capito were among those in favor of spending two-and-a-half billion dollars to enhance Amtrak service. It could mean the return of ticket agents to smaller Amtrak stations, like Charleston. The money should also mean the return of the annual New River Train that runs between Huntington and Hinton.
