Agreement Reached to End Teacher Walkout

A deal was reached Tuesday in the legislative standoff over pay raises, and not only will teachers get the 5 percent increase, but all state employees too including state police. One member of the conference committee called this the largest pay raise in state history. During the nine-day walkout, thousands of school employees rallied at the Capitol almost daily, with crowds reaching max capacity on Monday.
