Man Faces Charges After Fleeing Accident Scene

State police say the driver fled the scene after a sport utility vehicle plunged 200 feet down Bolt Mountain in the area of the Boone-Raleigh-Wyoming county lines. Police said the driver, Darnell Mendoza has been living in the country illegally. State police say Mendoza has been living in Logan County, and his wife called police saying she had spoken to him but didn’t know where he was. A search for him is continuing. Mendoza faces several charges stemming from the wreck, including driving without a license and fleeing the scene of an accident.
