Hollywood Casino receives first sports betting license

The West Virginia Lottery has issued the state’s first-ever sports betting license. The state received the required 100-thousand-dollar licensing fee from Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. The timeline for beginning sports betting includes a week of testing beginning August 27th, with the possibility of the sportsbook to be up and running by Labor Day Weekend.
