Man arrested for abusing elderly mother

A Charleston man is under arrest for trapping his elderly mother in her bedroom. Fifty-eight-year-old Timothy Thomas is charged with abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult. His mother, 84-year-old Carol Thomas got stuck in the bedroom when her grandson, kicked and broke the door. Police found Timothy hiding in a closet and arrested him on two outstanding warrants.
