Math teacher shortage in Roane County

The Roane County Board of Education says it has a math teacher shortage. Nearly half of the positions for high school math teachers are vacant. School officials say they’re hoping that teachers already employed by the county will be interested in becoming certified in math and switch subjects. Students return to class August 16th.
