Elderly couple injured in apartment fire

An elderly couple is recovering after getting trapped in an apartment fire. The fire broke out yesterday afternoon at the Terrace Park East Apartments on Kanawha Boulevard. Two men kicked the door in and got the woman to safety. Firefighters arrived a few minutes later and got the man out. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The woman is expected to be OK. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
