State seeking help from FEMA
The state is seeking a little more help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Typically, FEMA will cover 75-percent of the cost for infrastructure repair, and the state is left to cover the remain 25-percent. Late last week, West Virginia put in a request to have FEMA cover up to 90-percent. Senator Joe Manchin said at times when the disaster is so extreme, FEMA will increase their reimbursements.
