Rules & regulations aren’t enough to fight black lung disease

A new report suggests the rules and regulations to fight black lung disease might not be enough. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine report points to the increase in the number of black lung cases since regulations were put in place in 1969 as not doing enough to protect miners. A ten-person panel visited coal mines in West Virginia and Pennsylvania before compiling the report.
