Roadside Assitance Program

Legislation that would eliminate a state-funded roadside assistance program has been forwarded to the full House of Delegates. The House Finance Committee voted Wednesday to move $3.4 million that pays a nonprofit group to operate the Courtesy Patrol back into a Division of Highways road fund. The original bill would have put the funding into the state’s general revenue fund.
