Respected Judge Dies at the Age of 80
A West Virginia judge best known for his decisions in the state’s education system has died. Senior-status Judge Arthur Recht died Sunday at Wheeling Hospital after suffering a stroke, according to a news release from the West Virginia Supreme Court. Recht served nearly two years on the state Supreme Court and served the First Judicial Circuit, which includes Brooke, Hancock and Ohio counties, for more than 20 years. He was 80 years old.
