Putnam Co. Man Won’t Fight Extradtion

A West Virginia man arrested in Massachusetts will return to face first-degree murder charges. A district attorney in Norfolk, Massachusetts told the Gazette-Mail that 33-year-old Philip David Casto would not fight extradition back to West Virginia. Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese says deputies plan to travel to Massachusetts to pick up Casto, who has been ordered held without bond pending extradition. Casto was arrested at a mall in Braintree, Massachusetts for the death of 27-year-old Jennifer Evans, whose body was found in her apartment in Hurricane last week.
