Police Target Seat Belt Usage

Buckle up on road trips this weekend….Today is the first day of a seat belt enforcement campaign. Police in Charleston will be targeting drivers who aren’t buckled up as part of the annual Click it or Ticket program. Today is the first day of the campaign. Police say in 2014, 93 people were not wearing their seatbelts when they were killed in accidents in West Virginia. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that if every person in these crashes had buckled their seat belt, 28 of those lives may have been saved.
