Pedestrian Killed in Putnam County

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Putnam County, and the driver has been taken into custody. Putnam County deputies said the victim was trying to slow down the driver of the vehicle because of an oncoming school bus when he was hit about 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Ranch Lake Boulevard in Rocky Step. Eyewitness News reports the driver of the vehicle, Morgan Vandergriff, has been taken into custody.
